New Music: July 1, 2019

Chris Lane recently got engaged to his girlfriend Lauren Bushnell and went all out on the romance by writing and recording a song for that specific moment. “Big, Big Plans” is a catchy love song that I’m sure will be a fan favorite at his live shows.

Runaway June released their debut full album Blue Roses this week. With “Buy My Own Drinks” climbing the charts into the Top 15 they’re looking to build off of that momentum. “We Were Rich” is one of my favorites as it has some of the most impactful and relatable lyrics I’ve heard recently in a country song.

Someday I Gotta Quit” is the latest from Justin Moore as he gears up for his next album being released later in July.

Brown & Gray is one of our favorite duos and this week they’re out with a catchy July 4th summer jam with “USA.”

Luke Pell and Kalsey Kulyk blend their voices together to create a nice country love song in “Remember These Words.” If you’re looking for a song for your southern country wedding this summer, this might just be it.

Mickey Guyton has one of the best voices in country music. She’s up there with Carrie and Miranda in my book. We’re so glad she’s making new music as she’s out with “Sister” this week.

Josh Abbott Band released a 4 song EP this week called Catching Fire. The title track is a nice piece of music that has the band singing about a new fresh start.

Lacy Cavalier dropped a new one this week called “Tea” that has her dishing out advice to the next woman who is now in the same shoes she herself was in with the same guy. The lyrics are placed together strategically to tell a story in a clever new way.

Up and coming country artist Clay Barker is out with a fun one this week in “One of Them” as he sings about a fun night out that you never want to end.

Kassi Ashton is one of the more exciting, electrifying, and mold shattering young artists the genre has today. “Field Party” has her singing about how she hasn’t lost her roots and ability to own a party way out in the sticks.
