Artist You Need to Know: Adam Hambrick

You may not have heard of him but you’ve definitely heard of his work.

Our “Artist To Know” this week already has two #1 songs. Adam Hambrick moved to Nashville as a songwriter and he proved himself by writing Dan + Shay’s “How Not To” and Justin Moore’s “Somebody Else Will.” In fact we have Justin Moore to thank for Hambrick’s music.

Both Arkansas natives, Moore caught a local morning show that Hambrick was singing on to promote his independent projects. A call to his producer, led to an email to Hambrick, and the next day Adam (inspired by his good friend Kris Allen winning American Idol) took a chance and met Moore in Nashville. The writing sessions began.

Hambrick credits a lot of different influences in his life that led to his musical style which included 90s country icons like Garth Brooks and Alan Jackson and rock bands such as Third Eye Blind and Foo Fighters. His most influential act happens to be John Mayer.

So who is Adam Hambrick? A great mix of all the above. His first single “Rockin’ All Night Long” is a smartly written song with an ending that brings back the comfortable circle of life. If you are thinking the same vein as Kiss’ “Rock and Roll All Night,” just think the exact opposite.

Just last month he released “All You, All Night, All Summer.” According to Hambrick, the song was intentionally released in the dead of winter to inspire thoughts of an eventual end to it all and the start of summer weather. This is the song that makes me excited for more Adam Hambrick in our future.

After being the man behind the songs, 2019 seems like the year that Adam will break out and solidify his name in Nashville.
