New Music: January 21, 2019

Gone are the weeks of little to no new country music. With the holidays definitely in the rearview mirror, country music is back into full swing with new music being released. This week is a phenomenal start.

Maren Morris stole the show this week with the release of her next single “GIRL.” She also announced a world tour where she is bringing her close friends Cassadee Pope and RaeLynn along as openers.

“One Man Band” is the latest from Old Dominion. With a fun play on words to describe falling in love, if this song is any sign of what’s to come, we can’t wait to see what the full album sounds like.

“David Ashley Parker” singer Travis Denning is out with a new tune to follow up on his smash hit. He sings about going back to a former flame with the help of alcohol in “After a Few.”

Cody Johnson released his new album Ain’t Nothin’ To It. After finding success being independent and growing a passionate and dedicate fanbase, this is his first album with a major record label (Warner Music Nashville).

HARDY released his second EP WHERE TO FIND ME, just a few months after releasing his debut EP. “SIGNED, SOBER YOU” is the one that stands out on this project with cleverly crafted lyrics that describes a relationship in 2019, but without losing the country music sound.

Gone West is a new band that you’re going to want to keep your eyes on. Colbie Caillat is the name you will immediately recognize. She is joined by her fiance Justin Young, Jason Reeves – who worked with her on “Bubbly” and “Realize,” – and Jason’s wife Nelly Joy. The group sounds amazing on their debut EP Tides.

Lacy Cavalier released another new song as it appears like she’s gearing up for a potential EP or album later this year. “Andre” is a modern country sounding song where she sings about money not being the important thing in a relationship. She keeps it simple with a $5 bottle of Andre.
