New Music: December 10

Brett Young released his sophomore album Ticket to L.A. and boy is it a talented music project. Seriously, not even an average song on the album. There’s a ton to like. Stay tuned for our full review of the album later this week. But for now, you have to listen to this duet he has on the album with Gavin DeGraw.

George Straight is the king. There’s simply no debate. While he isn’t criss-crossing the country on a multi city tour, he still does shows from time to time in various cities. While it’s minimal, he seems to be picking the pace up a bit. That might be because he’s set to release a new album in 2019. As a teaser, he released a new song named after his branded tequlia called Codigo.

Toby Keith has a new song for Clint Eastwood’s upcoming movie “The Mule.” The song “Don’t Let the Old Man In” is a dark and depressing song, but it is so well done where you can picture Clint Eastwood in the music video.

Up and comer Lacy Cavalier released her second song in the last few weeks with “Get Away With It.” Lacy’s vocals are so unique but equally as powerful as she sings about falling in love and perhaps looking past certain flaws that she shouldn’t have.

It’s been awhile since we’ve heard new music from Love and Theft, but they’re back with a fun jam called “Need to Breathe.”

Kylie Morgan is a country new comer that you may not have heard of until reading this sentence, but you’re going to hear a lot of her going forward. Kylie is a singer/songwriter who is signed to Shane McAnally’s SMACKSongs label, where she’s worked directly with Shane and Josh Osborne. She’s currently working on her debut album with Shane and Josh Kerr and released a new song this week. Keep an eye on her.

Rascal Flatts released new music…sort of. They released an EP of the group covering some of their favorite songs from Foreigner, Hall & Oates, and Kenny Loggins. It’s a pretty cool idea that other artists should consider replicating in the future.
